Oklahoma Mission of Mercy Free Dental Clinic is Feb. 1-2

Free dental care for adults and children who may not have access to regular dental care will be offered at the fourth annual Oklahoma Mission of Mercy event scheduled Feb. 1-2, 2013, at the Great Plains Coliseum in Lawton.

This two-day clinic is designed to meet the critical needs of dental patients of all ages by providing free dental care to as many adults and children as time, volunteers and supplies will allow. Donated dental care will be available on a first come, first served basis.

More than 50 sponsors have signed up for the event including the Oklahoma Dental Association, the Oklahoma Dental Foundation, Delta Dental of Oklahoma Oral Health Foundation, and the Oklahoma State Department of Health. 

Local contributors include the Comanche County Health Department, the McMahon Foundation, the Lawton Country Club, and local eateries that will supply food and beverages for the event. About 1,500 volunteers are expected to participate.
