Oklahoma City’s Fillmore School Joins World’s Largest Exercise Class Tomorrow

What: “All Children Exercise Simultaneously” (Project ACES) Event -- the world’s largest exercise class.

When: Tomorrow—Wednesday, May 2, 9:30 a.m.

Background: 
Children from Oklahoma City’s Fillmore Elementary School will join millions of children from all 50 states and more than 50 countries in exercising simultaneously Wednesday morning as part of a worldwide exercising event held annually each May to promote safe, fun, physical activity for children.

Schools in communities throughout the state are using this event to highlight Oklahoma’s efforts to control its obesity epidemic. One in three Oklahoma children is overweight or
obese and many young children are already showing risk factors for heart disease.

Fillmore Elementary children will participate in a variety of physical activities that demonstrate fitness can be fun.
