For Release: Feb. 28, 2012 – Pamela Williams, Office of Communications – 405/271-5601 Media Advisory WHAT: Certified Healthy Oklahoma Awards Luncheon WHEN: Thursday, March 1, 11:30 a.m. WHERE: Cox Convention Center, downtown Oklahoma City SUMMARY: More than 480 winners of the Certified Healthy Oklahoma awardsprogram will be honored at a luncheon and awards ceremony. These Certified Healthy Oklahoma honorees represent businesses, restaurants, schools, communities, college campuses and career technology centers that have responded to the call for all Oklahomans to eat better, move more and be tobacco free. FEATURING: Gov. Mary Fallin, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Human Services Dr. Terry Cline, and State Schools Superintendent Janet Barresi will be joined by Blue Cross Blue Shield President Bert Marshall to honor the awardees. Larry Cohen, founder and The Certified Healthy Oklahoma programs are a joint effort of the Oklahoma State Department of Health, The State Chamber, The Oklahoma Academy, Oklahoma Turning Point Council, and numerous other partners who are helping to shape a healthier future for Oklahoma.
