WHEN: Wednesday, April 7, 2010, 10:45 a.m. till Noon WHERE: The Oklahoma History Center, Board Room, Third Floor WHAT: nformal media availability for interviews with Dr. Glantz BACKGROUND: Dr. Stan Glantz is a noted authority on secondhand smoke and its effect on cardiovascular disease. He has been a trailblazer in investigating subjects with significant public health impact, including analysis of tobacco industry documents, and the influence on children of smoking in the movies. Dr. Glantz is Professor in the Cardiology Division, University of California Medical School at San Francisco. He holds the American Legacy Foundation Distinguished Professorship in Tobacco Control and directs the Center for Tobacco Control Research and Education. He is also one of the founders of Americans for Non-Smokers’ Rights. He is visiting Oklahoma courtesy of the Oklahoma Tobacco Research Center. ### |
