State Board of Health Meets Thursday

The Oklahoma State Board of Health will meet Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009, at 11 a.m., at the Pittsburg County Health Department, 1400 East College Ave. in McAlester. This marks the second time this year that the Board of Health has ventured outside the Oklahoma City area for its monthly board meeting.

“We are pleased to have this opportunity to be the host site for the September Board of Health meeting,” said Michael Echelle, administrative director for the Pittsburg County Health Department. 
“This allows us to showcase our new facility and it also provides our citizens the chance to meet those who serve on the Board of Health, including Dr. Kenneth Miller, who is from McAlester and was recently appointed to the Board.”
