Farmers Market Begins New Season at State Health Department

Background: Now beginning its fifth season, the “Made in Oklahoma” Farmers Market at the Oklahoma State Department of Health is part of the agency’s effort to improve the health of its employees and the public by providing opportunities to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables from local growers. Oklahomans eat fewer fruits and vegetables than any other state. This Farmers Market is open to the 800 employees at the state health department’s central office, as well as employees within the nearby OU Health Sciences Center, and the public.
