Why:                         
As Oklahomans begin what is likely to be a challenging flu season, the Oklahoma City-County Health Department (OCCHD) and Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) offer this influenza media roundtable as an opportunity for your news organization to get the facts on flu.

Representatives from OCCHD and OSDH will be on hand to provide the most current information on seasonal and H1N1 influenza, including flu symptoms and treatment, prevention techniques, vaccination, surveillance of the disease, preparing for flu in schools and workplaces, and caring for persons ill with the flu.

Please consider the most appropriate person(s) from your organization that should attend – whether  an editor or reporter – whoever  is likely to make decisions on future reporting of influenza and will benefit from this roundtable in providing accurate information to your readers, viewers or listeners.
