For Release: March 25, 2008 Arthritis Network Speaker to Discuss the Enhance Fitness Program Shelly Webb, EnhanceFitness division manager for Project H.E.A.R.T., will be the guest speaker for the Oklahoma Arthritis Network (OAN) on Thursday, April 3, at the Oklahoma State Department of Health, 1000 N.E. 10th Street at 2 p.m. in Room 314. The meeting is free and open to the public. Webb’s topic, “EnhanceFitness: Living Longer, Living Stronger,” will cover the importance of physical activity, benefits of EnhanceFitness classes, and the make up of an EnhanceFitness class. She will also go over the evidence-based nature of EnhanceFitness and provide examples of participant results. OAN attempts to maximize the quality of life for Oklahomans with arthritis and related health conditions by developing resources, promoting access to health care and offering public health education presentations. Currently, there are about 100 public and private health and non-health related organizations in the OAN.
