The January meeting of the Oklahoma Arthritis Network (OAN) will feature a discussion led by Traci Castles, board president of Oklahoma Family Network (OFN), which provides Oklahoma’s parent-to-parent network for those raising children with special health care needs. Castles will present information about OFN’s mentorship workshops for parents, grandparents and other caregivers. OFN is recruiting parents of children with arthritis and related disorders to become parent mentors.

Castles, a parent of children with disabilities, also serves on the family faculty at the Tolbert Center for Developmental Disabilities at the OU Health Sciences Center. In addition, she serves as the parent representative for agency coordination of SoonerStart, Oklahoma’s Early Intervention Program.
