Take Charge! Program
Offers No Cost Clinical Breast Exams and Cervical Screening

No cost breast examinations, mammograms and Pap tests are now available through the Take Charge! Program at several locations in southwestern Oklahoma.

To qualify for services, a woman must be between the ages of 50 to 64; have a low income; not be covered by Medicaid, Medicare, or other insurance; or have a high, unmet deductible.

To find out if you are eligible or to schedule an appointment, call any of the following clinics or call 1-800-4 CANCER. Call the clinic location nearest you for more information or to schedule an appointment.

Southwestern Oklahoma Take Charge Program! Clinics opening in May include the following:

May 17 – Beckham County Health Department, 400 E. Third, Elk City, call 1-800-955-6968
May 17 & 31 – Jackson County Free Clinic, 401 Tamarack Rd., Altus, call 1-800-955-6968
This program is offered through a partnership between the OU College of Nursing and the Take Charge! Program, Chronic Disease Service, Oklahoma State Department of Health.
