FOR RELEASE: April 18 , 2006 Take Charge! Program Announces Clinics During April No cost breast examinations, mammograms and Pap tests are now available through two new Take Charge! Programs opening in southwestern Oklahoma. To qualify for services, a woman must be between the ages of 50 to 64; have a low income; not be covered by Medicaid, Medicare, or other insurance; or have a high, unmet deductible. To find out if you are eligible or to schedule an appointment, call the following clinics or call 1-800-4 CANCER. Call the clinic location nearest you for more information or to schedule an appointment. Northeastern Oklahoma Take Charge Program! clinics opening in April include: This program is offered through a partnership between the OU College of Nursing and the Take Charge! Program, Chronic Disease Service, Oklahoma State Department of Health. Early screening to detect and treat breast and cervical cancer are important in the fight against breast and cervical cancer and can save lives. For information about the Take Charge!
