FOR RELEASE: February 23 , 2006 Take Charge! Program The Tulsa City-County Health Department, located at 5051 S. 129th, Tulsa, is having a Take Charge! clinic on Monday, Feb. 27. Women who qualify for the Take Charge! Program will receive no cost clinical breast exams, PAP smears, and a coupon for a mammogram. The clinic will be held on Feb. 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. To schedule your appointment at the clinic, call 595-4569. In order to qualify for services, a woman must meet the following guidelines:
In addition to the clinic on Feb. 27, other Take Charge! clinics are scheduled at this location from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. the 4th Monday of each month. This program is offered through a partnership between the OU College of Nursing, Tulsa City-County Health Department, and the Take Charge! Program, Chronic Disease Service, Oklahoma State Department of Health. Early screening to detect and treat breast cancer is important in the fight against breast cancer and can save lives.
