Control Your Diabetes For Life: Diabetes Expo, March 25

In an effort to emphasize the importance of self-management of diabetes for healthy living for those Oklahomans who have the disease, the Oklahoma State Department of Health’s (OSDH) Diabetes Prevention and Control Program and the University of Oklahoma Diabetes Center are partnering to sponsor a “Control Your Diabetes For Life” expo on Saturday, March 25.
The event will take place at MetroTech Business Conference Center’s Springlake Campus, 1900 Springlake Drive, Oklahoma City, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Diabetes management can delay complications of diabetes and improve the quality of life. The expo is designed to help people with diabetes and their families, caregivers and anyone else interested in learning methods for controlling diabetes over a lifetime. Participants will hear from diabetes educators and physicians on topics ranging from nutrition and foot care to medication and exercise.
