Take Charge! Program Opens New Health Screening Site
Offers No Cost Clinical Breast Exams and Cervical Screening

The Wellness Center/Healthy Sooners Clinic, located at 1100 N. Stonewall, 2nd Floor, Oklahoma City, announced today it will be offering no cost clinical breast exams, Pap smears, and a coupon for a mammogram to women who qualify for the Take Charge! Program. The first clinic will be held on Thursday, Nov. 10, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. To schedule your appointment at the clinic, call 271-2124.

In order to qualify for services, a woman must meet the following guidelines:
· low income; and
· not covered by insurance or a high unmet deductible; and
· not covered by Medicaid or Medicare, and
· between the ages of 50-64.

In addition to the clinic on Nov. 10, regular clinics are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. every second Thursday of the month

This program is offered through a partnership between the OU College of Nursing and the Take Charge! Program, Chronic Disease Service, Oklahoma State Department of Health.
