Take Charge! Program Opens New Health Screening Site
The Jackson County Health Department, located at 401 W. Tamarac Road, Altus, announced today it will be offering no cost clinical breast exams, PAP smears, and a coupon for a mammogram to women who qualify for the Take Charge! Program. The first clinic will be held on Thursday, Nov. 10, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. To schedule your appointment at the clinic, call 800-955-6968.
In order to qualify for services, a woman must meet the following guidelines:
In addition to the clinic on Nov. 10, another clinic is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 8, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Dec. 29. The mobile van will be at the clinic on Dec. 29.
This program is offered through a partnership between the OU College of Nursing and the Take Charge! Program, Chronic Disease Service, Oklahoma State Department of Health, and Jackson County Health Department.
