Oklahoma Arthritis Speaker to Discuss the New Medicare Drug Benefit
The new Medicare Drug Benefit will be the topic of discussion at the October meeting of the Oklahoma Arthritis Network (OAN).
The meeting will be held on Thursday, Oct. 6, at 2 p.m. at the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH), 1000 N.E. 10th Street, Room 314, Oklahoma City. The meeting is free and open to the public.
"Understanding the New Medicare Drug Benefit" will cover topics like how the program works and what the benefit will and won't cover. Guest speaker Richard Ingham, attorney, is the state legal services developer for the Aging Services Division of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. He supports legislation affecting the elderly and advises aging advocacy groups on issues affecting elderly rights.
The OAN features speakers and presentations for the public to help maximize the quality of life for Oklahomans with arthritis and related health conditions through developing resources, promoting access to health care and offering public health education programs.
