Oklahoma Safe Kids Coalition FOR RELEASE: May 16, 2002 “Super Sitter” Classes Set for Summer Five “Super Sitters” classes are scheduled for novice and would-be babysitters this summer at The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center. Sponsored by the Oklahoma SAFE KIDS Coalition, a program of the Oklahoma State Department of Health, the one-day classes are set for June 5 and 19, July 10 and 23, and Aug. 7, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Course content will include an introduction to CPR, first aid, child safety, child development and tips in starting a babysitting business. Certificates will be awarded to participants upon successful completion of the class. The class is open to youths 11 to 14 years old, and will be limited to 25 participants. Cost is $20 and includes all materials and snacks. Participants should bring a sack lunch. To register or for more information, call the Oklahoma SAFE KIDS Coalition, (405) 271-5695. ### |
