Bioterrorism and Anthrax Issues
Bioterrorism and Anthrax Daily Update 11/5/01:
- As of 1 p.m. today, the Public Health Laboratory of the Oklahoma State Department of Health had performed testing on 538 environmental samples for the presence of anthrax or biologic agents. All have tested negative for biologic contamination. Among the items tested have been unopened mail, food items, books, magazines, assorted powdery substances, vacuum bag, trash can, clothing, books, hearing aids, eyeglasses, and computer disks.
- The Oklahoma State Department of Health receives daily updates from the CDC and other government agencies regarding current issues in anthrax and other bioterrorism concerns.
