FOR RELEASE: April 3, 2000 Public Health Day Activities Scheduled at State Capitol The Oklahoma State Department of Health has scheduled a number of activities tomorrow in the fourth floor rotunda of the State Capitol in observance of Public Health Day. This week, April 3-9, is National Public Health Week. "We will have several exhibits set up in the capitol that visually explain the Public Health Day theme: Healthy People in Healthy Communities," said Neil Hann, director of the Office of Public Health Innovation at the Oklahoma State Department of Health and event organizer. Legislators, policy makers, and the general public are invited to view the exhibits to learn more about public health and its network of essential services that work together to prevent disease, promote and protect health, and assure access to health care. ### |
