"We want to encourage our communities to find ways to promote physical exercise," said _____. "We recommend walking, bicycle riding and swimming -- especially water aerobics for older persons who may have weight-bearing problems -- as good ways to start reducing obesity and improving health through regular exercise.
Few communities in _____ County have safe bicycle routes or walking paths; however, parents and employers can work with other interested persons in the community to improve or build these paths with the help of business or civic sponsors. (Administrators can fill in here to highlight successful programs. For example, Guymon, Norman and Ardmore have all completed new bicycle paths in their communities.)
_____ reminded persons to always wear helmets when riding a bicycle to prevent head injuries.
For additional information on promoting exercise or information on other ways _____
County residents can improve their health, contact the _____ County Health Department at (phone number).
