Oklahoma HIV Planning Council (OHPC)

The OHPC is an advisory body that assists the Oklahoma State Department of Health, HIV/STD Service with HIV Prevention and Care planning.

The OHPC consists of twenty-five voting members, and strives to have membership that represents communities that are infected/affected by HIV.  The twenty-five voting slots are filled as follows:

  • A minimum of 5 persons shall be persons living with HIV
  • 5 representatives from HIV Prevention
  • 5 representatives from HIV Treatment & Care
  • 10 at-large members

Considerations for membership include: race/ethnicity, gender, age, geographic area of residence and/or employment, HIV status, HIV risk status, occupation/area of expertise. The composition of the OHPC will be representative of the current and projected HIV epidemic in Oklahoma.
