Health Care Information Advisory Committee Data Submittal Subcommittee

NEED UPDATED MEMBERS LIST

CHARGE

To assist the Division of Health Care Information with technical matters relating to the collection of health care information from information providers as delineated in the Oklahoma Health Care Information Systems Act.

Primary functions of the committee are, but shall not be limited to providing recommendations regarding:

1. Revising the current data submittal process to increase data file security in transit.
2. Compliance issues with the reporting requirements, including analysis of the reasons some hospitals are not submitting data, development of a plan to obtain the data, and outreach activities to encourage reporting.
3. Development of a real-time, secure, automated electronic data submittal process that includes error checks as part of the process.
4. Development of an error correction process to include defining error tolerance levels, fatal errors, time frames for corrections, error reports, etc.
5. Development of ambulatory care data submittal process.
