Free Smoke Alarms

The Tecumseh Fire Department and the Pottawatomie County Health Department announced the receipt of a grant that will provide more than 750 smoke alarms to Tecumseh residents.  The smoke alarms are free and will be installed by the Tecumseh Firefighters. The smoke alarm has a ten-year lithium battery.

The smoke alarm project is an effort led by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Oklahoma State Department of Health – Injury Prevention Service, the Tecumseh Fire Department and the Pottawatomie County Health Department to increase the number of working smoke alarms in Tecumseh homes.

For more information on the free smoke alarm project call Aaron Williams at 598-2222 at the Tecumseh Fire Department.
