Our Mission

To protect and promote the health of the citizens of Major County, to prevent disease and injury, and to assure the conditions by which our citizens can be healthy.

Striving for a Healthy Community

The Major County Health Department provides healthcare in the areas of immunizations, family planning, tuberculosis testing and treatment, pregnancy testing, Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) Nutrition Program, and STD testing.

We also provide protection every day for each person that lives, works and plays in our community. We do this by monitoring the health of our community, identifying and responding to health threats, providing timely and accurate information, enforcing laws that protect health and providing quality services to prevent and control disease.

Through inspecting restaurants, providing infant immunizations, investigating disease outbreaks, providing health education, and many other services, we strive to provide a healthy community for all of the citizens of Major County.
