Community Health Promotion

The Community Health Promotion Department is dedicated to the promotion of healthy lifestyles and creating conditions in Grant County where all citizens can be healthy. The Community Health Promotion staff provide a variety of training, presentations, and health information to the general public, including:

  • Health Publications and Statistics
  • Health Information, Consultation, and Referral
  • Blood borne Pathogens, CPR and First Aid
  • Nutrition and Physical Activity Education
  • Tobacco Cessation

School Health

Staff provides assistance in schools with health education for faculty, staff, and students. Topics include:

  • Certified Healthy Schools Award
  • Blood borne Pathogens
  • Evidence-based Teen Pregnancy and STD prevention Education 
  • HIV/AIDS education
  • Growth and Development
  • Hand washing
  • Nutrition and Physical Activity
  • Tobacco Prevention
  • SWAT Teams
