Family Planning
The mission of the Oklahoma Family Planning Program is “to provide individuals the information and means to exercise personal choices in determining the number of spacing between their children”. Garfield County Health Department’s Family Planning services are provided by a physician, a Family Nurse Practitioner, and Public Health Nurses. The Oklahoma Family Planning Program provides services without regard to religion, race, color, national origin, creed, disability, sex, or the ability to pay. Services include:
Annual physical exam consisting of pap smear, breast exam, height and weight, blood pressure, and if applicable, std screening, hemoglobin, and glucose screening
Family Planning education/counseling
Method of birth control
Pregnancy testing
Follow up associated with method of birth control

Monday 8:00-3:00 exams by appointment.
Tuesday 8:00-3:00 exams by appointment, later appointments are available, call Monday am to schedule.
Wednesdays- the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month from 9 am-11 am, by appointment.

Child Guidance
The Child Guidance is part of the primary prevention, diagnostic, and treatment services offered by Garfield County Health Department and the Oklahoma State Department of Health. Guidance staff includes a Psychologist and a Speech/Language Pathologist. This program serves children birth to eighteen years of age and their families. We believe parents are an essential part of any services provided to a child and they are involved throughout the course of intervention.
Fees are based on a sliding scale and are determined by the annual gross income and size of the family. Medicaid and insurance are accepted. No one is refused services because of an inability to pay. Services include:
