Consumer Protection and Environmental Health

The Consumer Protection Division in Garfield County is separated into five programs:

Food
Lodging
Public Bathing
Barbershops
Rabies Prevention

The Food program provides on-site regulatory inspections of retail food establishments, health and institutional facilities, mobile food vending, and temporary food events.  The food program also provides plan review of future food establishments and food safety training.

Regulatory inspections and consultation are also provided for Lodging, Public Bathing, and Barbershops.

The Rabies Prevention program provides consultation and enforcement to the public on the rabies disease.
