HIV/STD

Purpose

Epidemiology in the HIV/STD Service consists of three programs: Disease Intervention, Surveillance and Analysis, and Counseling and Testing.  Disease intervention focuses on the primary prevention of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). While the program concentrates on screening, diagnostics, education and treatment services, individual case management and referral services for those at increased risk remain the program's priority.
