Volunteer With Us

Volunteers are always welcome at the Cleveland County Health Department!  

You can help us be better prepared by volunteering as part of our Public Health Preparedness and Emergency Response Plans, which include mass vaccination clinics.  Signing up with the Medical Reserve Corp will help us find you.  Medical and non-medical opportunities are available.  

We also have many volunteer opportunities (both medical and non-medical) available in other programs.

Minimum qualifications:

• Must be able to commit 100 hours towards volunteer work or internship
• Will be required to interview with staff prior to beginning
• volunteer/internship hours
• Must be available to work between Monday-Friday varying hours from 8:00 am-5:00pm
• Must be willing to work weekend and evening events as needed
• Must be able to work well with internal and external clients
• Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds
• Must have a good driving record and have dependable transportation
