Take Charge!

Take Charge! is Oklahoma's Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program.  The Oklahoma State Department Chronic Disease Service provides this program through a grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The mission of Take Charge! is to provide women with information and access to screening services in order to reduce morbidity and mortality from breast and cervical cancer.

Take Charge! services include a Pap test and a clinical breast exam, plus a coupon for a free mammogram for women who qualify.

If you find you don't meet the Take Charge! requirements please contact our office about other adult health services that might be available to you.

Eligibility Guidelines:

  • Oklahoma Women that are 50 through 64 years of age.
  • If you are 65 and older and do not have Medicare Part B coverage.
  • If you don't have Medicare or Medicaid to cover the screening.
  • If you have insurance but the deductible is $150+ and unmet.
  • If you have only hospitalization, catastrophic, or major medical insurance.
