Maternity

The Carter County Health Department offers Maternity Services to women with low risk pregnancies who are uninsured, not eligible for Medicaid or Sooner Care, and meet financial guidelines. Free services include office visits with a nurse practitioner, lab work, pap and ultrasound if necessary.

We do not charge for maternity care at the Health Department. Maternity clients can be seen at the Health Department until they are 36 weeks along in pregnancy as long as pregnancy doesn't become high risk. At 36 weeks, clients must transfer to a private physician and are responsible for those physician and hospital costs.

Please contact the Carter County Health Department to see if you qualify for Maternity Services.
