11th Annual Turning Point/Fit Kids Conference--Moving Prevention Upstream

The 11th Annual Turning Point/Fit Kids Conference will be held Wednesday and Thursday, December 10-11, 2008 at the University Nigh Center, University of Central Oklahoma, 100 North University Drive, 3rd Floor, Edmond, OK.  Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10 and the conference will conclude at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 11.  

The keynote speaker will be Diane Allensworth, Ph.D., from the Centers for Disease Control.  She will be speaking on "Successful Students and Communities:  What's health got to do with it?"  There will also be seven (7) breakout sessions, including:  PAN Flu Readiness/Protecting the Food System Panel, Tools for Schools Panel, Substance Abuse Issues Panel, Sober High School Presentation, Health Equities, Youth Asset Development, Being There, Worksite Wellness "Make It Your Business"/Certified Healthy Business/Insure Oklahoma, Obesity/Physical Activity Community Resources Panel, a QPR Training/Youth Listening Conferences Panel and Grant Writing to choose from, plus a youth drama panel.
