Mission: To provide state leadership, in partnership with key stakeholders, to improve the physical and mental health, safety, and well-being of the Oklahoma maternal and child health (MCH) population. The primary areas within the Maternal and Child Health Service are: The Title V Program in Oklahoma is administered by two state agencies. The Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) administers programs for pregnant women, mothers, infants, children and their families through the Maternal and Child Health Service (MCH). MCH organizationally consists of the Child and Adolescent Health Division, Perinatal and Reproductive Health Division and MCH Assessment. The Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) administers the Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN) Program through the Health Related and Medical Services of the Family Support Services Division. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Title V Program. Title V is the longest-standing public health legislation in the United States, and is responsible for ensuring the health and wellbeing of all women and children in the nation.
