The Women’s Health Division is the area within the Maternal and Child Health Service with the responsibility to develop and promote best health practices for women, infants and men’s reproductive health. This includes developing policies and procedures; providing resources, technical assistance, and consultation; and the monitoring of health care services and health status of the target populations. The primary areas within Women’s Health Division include: the Family Planning Program (pregnancy planning, birth control, fertility services), the Maternity Program (prenatal care, nutrition counseling, referrals), Preventive Health Education, Maternal Mortality Review and Fetal and Infant Mortality Review.
