The Perinatal and Reproductive Health Division is the area within the Maternal and Child Health Service with the responsibility to develop and promote best health practices for women's and men's reproductive health and the health of babies. This includes developing policies and procedures; providing resources, technical assistance, and consultation; and the monitoring of health care services and health status of the target populations. The primary areas within the Perinatal and Reproductive Health Division include: the Family Planning Program (pregnancy planning, birth control), the Maternity Program (prenatal care, nutrition counseling, referrals), Preventive Health Education for men and women, Fetal and Infant Mortality Review and Maternal Mortality Review. What's New: The National Resource Center on Domestic Violence has recently released a new e-learning course about domestic violence. This course will help new advocates, allied professionals, students, and the general public achieve a basic understanding of this complex issue. Contact Information: |
