Sudden Infant Death (SIDS) Program
A project of the Child and Adolescent Health Division of the Maternal and Child Health Service.
Mission:
To offer support to families that experience infant loss and to reduce the risk and incidence of sudden unexpected death of an infant.
Description:
This program provides support and referrals to families that experience a sudden and unexpected infant death. It also provides education and training on ways to reduce the risk of sudden infant death. Local staff may also work with community groups to identify populations at risk and to develop projects to reduce infant mortality in their communities.
