Before and Between PregnancyOlder Girl

Do you want to be healthy? Are you pregnant or thinking about starting a family? Do you want to have a baby someday?

Getting healthy before getting pregnant greatly increases a woman's chances of having a healthy baby. For instance, all females should take a multivitamin with 400 mcg of folic acid every day. If you are pregnant or want to become pregnant, talk to your doctor or health care provider about taking a prenatal vitamin.

What you can do…
· Know your family history
· Live a healthy lifestyle
· Make healthy food choices
· Get regular health check-ups
· Maintain emotional wellness & social support
· Know your health and pregancy risks.

Spouses, partners, family members, and friends play an important role in improving the health of Oklahoma’s babies. Encourage and support a woman’s healthy choices.
