CATC Council

History

The Child Abuse Training and Coordination Council (CATC Council), was recommended by the Child Abuse Study Commission of 1988-89 after a comprehensive, statewide assessment of the system addressing the needs of children who are abused and neglected

The Oklahoma Legislature established the CATC Council in 1990 (O.S. 63, Supp. 1999, Sect. 1-227) with the responsibility for administration of the Program placed within the Office of Child Abuse Prevention, Family Health Services, Oklahoma State Department of Health.
