Birth, Death, & Stillbirth Submission Training

On November 16, 1907, Oklahoma became the 46th State in the Union. Oklahoma began filing birth and death records in October of 1908, but it was not mandatory until 1917. Even then, we find that earlier years up to around the early 1940s are intermittent.  This was probably due to a number of factors including the nature of medical care and the fact that these records were not required for identification or settlement of estate matters as they are today.

These trainings and materials are designed to provide physicians, hospital personnel, funeral directors, and others with instructions for completing and filing the Oklahoma Certificate of Birth, Death, or Stillbirth.
