The main function of eGovernment is to provide services to the public where it would normally be difficult or impossible to individually acquire. Consequently, the services that state agencies are chartered to provide are of benefit to Oklahomans, and as stewards of those services it is incumbent upon us to deliver them not only efficiently, but also effectively and in a Green manner.
It is evident that as the public becomes more dependent upon the Internet for the purchase of goods and services, they expect that more government services be delivered via this medium as well. Along with the explosive use of the Internet, we are now afforded the opportunity to reinvent our processes and procedures in order to deliver online government services more effectively. Therefore, we are striving to ensure that as we continue to deliver the social, health, regulatory, public safety and the myriad of other services of agencies, we take the opportunity to improve the processes and procedures and use the right technologies to provide a greener Oklahoma.
Centralizing services via OK.gov benefits Oklahomans in the following ways:
Ease of Speed no more long lines or mounds of paperwork
Access Anytime/Anywhere at the citizens’ convenience
Experience One State; One Voice facilitated by our mission of the common look and feel
