Go Gov! Updates:
- The Content Management tab now has a Home Page Log feature for you to see who created, modified and published the home page.
- When previewing Web pages using Internet Explorer, the "secure area warning message” no longer appears.
- The Text Editor has had a couple of updates in the last few weeks. Those updates include:
- The latest version of Ephox has been installed.
- When Inserting an Image – now the image list is aligned vertically with image folders first followed by individual images, and the warning message that was appearing if no image folders had been created is now gone.
- Converting File Names of Images - if a user uploads an image with spaces in the file name (Example: “thanksgiving feast”) it is now automatically converted for the Web with underlines replacing the spaces (Example: “thanksgiving_feast”).
- Rules of submissions have been added to the Contact Form. This is in an effort to help prevent the possibility of agencies receiving spam mail through the Contact Form area of their Web site. If a public user attempts to send a message via Contact Form, they will now receive an error message if they attempt to add the following submissions: urls, obscene language, or repetitive text. Additionally, if they fail to provide an email address, an error will occur as well.
- Thanks to feedback from our partners, we’ve made several updates to the Notification System. Those updates include:
- Not allowing duplicate E-mail entries into the system whether the person signs up for the notification themselves, uploaded from a file, or manually added by a cms user. A name can still be added multiple times, but an E-mail address cannot. Thus; eliminating someone receiving multiple notifications.
- The sender of the notification only receives one E-mail (assuming their name is added to the notification list). Previously, they were receiving multiple copies of the notification.
- An unlimited amount of E-mails can now be uploaded into each “Notification Group.”
- The Right Content area of Web pages has an update in the Related Topics section that now allows you to have the link open in a new browser. Additionally, the Right Content tab previously titled “Related Links,” now reads “Related Topics.”
- An update was made in the Manage Users area of the Administration tab that gives the admin user an error message if they fail to select a User Group from the dropdown menu.
- The Publish Request Utility has some exciting new features Those featured updates are:
- The ability for the non-admin user to select which admin user the publish request goes to. (The admin user has the ability to turn this feature on and off in the “Manage Groups” area.)
- The publish request window that the non-admin user sees, is now larger so that all browsers can see the “Submit” button.
- Previously, when a non-admin user sent a publish request, the E-mail address the admin user received was from “Ok.gov.” Now, when the admin user receives the publish request E-mail, it comes from the non-admin user’s E-mail address.
Announcements:
OK.gov will be performing scheduled maintenance on the portal systems this weekend.
The maintenance window will be from 10pm Saturday, Nov. 15 to 6am Sunday, Nov 16. Since we will be performing updates to components that are attached to all of the servers, it will be necessary for a complete blackout to occur for some time in this window. We aim to minimize this downtime to reduce the impact to services. However, we are reserving the entire window in case of any issues.
GoGov! will be unavailable during this time frame.
