Go Gov! Updates
- Have you noticed the "Contact Info/Form" link below the administration tab? Well, you're not seeing double. We've consolidated the Contact Information and the "Contact Form" areas so that users can quickly update the contact link information in one step. Of course, using the contact link and/or contact form on your Web site are still optional features.
- The Text Editor has been updated with the latest version of Edit Live. Key features of the this new version are:
- The Ability to Align Tables by going to "Table Properties."
- Compatible With Java Plug-ins. (If you are experiencing difficulties saving changes to Web pages, you should enable the "Next Generation" Java plug-in.) Click here for instructions.
- In Site Options, we've added several new features...
- One newly added area is "Site Tools." Administrative users now have the ability to turn off and on Site Tools. If this link is turned on, you'll notice cute little “E-mail” and “Print” utilities in the upper right portion of your Web pages. This function allows the public to easily E-mail or print the Web page they are visiting.
- Another new feature we've incorporated is a "Last Modified Feature." If an administrative user opts to use this feature, a date will appear at the bottom of every Web page throughout the account that displays the date of the most recent modification to that page.
- When using the FAQs Module, you will notice a big difference in the way your frequently asked questions can be displayed. We've added the ability to create "FAQ Categories" so that users can organize the appearance of the FAQs. If you are an administrative user, and do not see the FAQs link in the administrative tab, you will want to edit the ADMIN group and turn permissions on for this module.
- How many times have you accidentally deleted something in your Web Management account? Chances are we've all had that sensation of momentary panic a time or two. The good news is, you will have a second chance to make sure you didn't hit "delete" on accident. A warning message stating "Are you sure you want to delete this?" will now appear when users attempt to delete an item in the following areas:
- Administration Area (Manage Groups and Manage Users)
- Calendar Areas
- Registration Areas
- FAQ Areas
- Contact Info/Form Areas
- Image folders are no longer appearing in the Image List of the Text Editor. This is due to updates made to the Insert image function in the text editor to allow for the alternate text on an image to be automatically inserted. This update was made to ensure that all images meet accessibility standards. Folders created in the Image Manager are solely for organizational purposes.
- When adding additional fields to a calendar category, users are now given the ability to rearrange the order of the additional fields by using the and buttons.
- We have updated the deleted status of notification groups to now be an "Inactive" status. If a user accidentally deletes a notification group, OK.gov can now retrieve that file for you.
