Go Gov! Updates...

Go Gov! Web Management Suite is excited to let you know that we have made an update to our “Contact Form” application. We have implemented a verification code utility that should significantly reduce the amount of bogus mail that might be associated with the contact form utility.

The verification code utility incorporates dynamic images, sounds and logic problems to make it difficult for a “spambot” or other computer program to read. Yet, a human has little trouble deciphering the data. Using a verification code utility on a Web site is a great way to ensure that a person and not a spambot is filling out a Web form. Once a user has completed a particular challenge satisfactorily, they are granted access to submit their response.

This is an example of our verification code utility that we have currently implemented into our Contact Form application:

To see the update take affect on your Web site, you will need to perform the following steps:

• Log into your CMS account.
• Publish your entire site. (Since the contact link will now have an updated URL, it is necessary to publish your entire site.)
• Click on the “Contact” link in the header of your Web site.

Note: This verification code utility will only be visible on Web sites that are currently using the “Contact Form” application. If your agency does not utilize the Contact Form, then this update will not affect your Web site.
