Frequently Asked Questions Q: Why did my net pay decrease?
A: Employees pay a 3.0% retirement contribution on the first $25,000 of salary. Employees contribute 3.5% for every dollar earned over $25,000, causing net pay to decrease during the year at the time in which earnings exceed $25,000.
Interesting Facts
  • January paychecks are never the same as December, due to retirement and insurance. Even if you make no changes, your benefit allowance will change.
