FEDERAL GRANTS DIVISION STAFF

 

The District Attorneys Council (DAC) Federal Grants Division is staffed by ten individuals who are responsible for providing good stewardship of federal funds by effectively managing the fiscal and programmatic aspects of six federal grant programs.

DELYNN FUDGE, Federal Grants Division Director 
DeLynn is responsible for the programmatic and fiscal management of all DAC Federal Grants Division grant programs. She serves as the contact point for the State and the federal granting agencies and reports to the Boards and Task Forces on the implementation of the grant programs. She supervises seven Division staff members.  

Rachael Dewberry, Domestic Violence Resource Prosecutor 
Rachael provides technical assistance, consultation, and research assistance with briefings, and provides training for prosecutors prosecuting domestic violence cases. Rachael also educates and informs organizations and agencies of available resources and services.

MICHELLE NAYLOR, Fiscal Analyst 
Michelle is responsible for maintaining and managing the fiscal aspects of the federal grant programs. She requests funds from the federal granting agencies, disburses the funds to subgrantees, prepares and submits the numerous required financial reports to the federal granting agencies.

MELVINA GARCIA, Administrative Assistant
Melvina is responsible for providing administrative support for the Arrest Grant by assisting the Domestic Violence Resource Prosecutor, the Coordinated Community Response Specialist, and the VAWA Program Specialist. She also assists the Director of the Division with the administration of the federal grant programs.

BECKY HACKLER, Grant Programs Specialist 
Becky serves as the Programs Specialist for the  Justice Assistance Grant (JAG), Coverdell Forensic Science Improvement Grant (Coverdell), Anti-Gang Initiative (AG), Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), National Criminal History Improvement Program Grant (NCHIP) and the Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Grant (RSAT). As the Programs Specialist, Becky assists subgrantees in implementing approved projects within a framework of relevant state and federal statutes, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines, in addition to providing monitoring, consultation and technical assistance to subgrantees.

KAREN HESS, Drug Task Force Coordinator
As the Drug Task Force Coordinator, Karen serves as the central point of contact for monitoring operational support and providing consultation and technical assistance for the multi-jurisdictional drug task forces in the state. Karen also serves as a liaison to the Justice Assistance Grant Board and all other meetings where there is individual or collective need for representation of the drug task forces.

VERONICA KORNEGAY, Administrative Assistant

Veronica is the primary contact for persons calling the Federal Grants Division. She is responsible for providing administrative support for the entire Division.

MISTY SIMMONS, Front Desk Receptionist

Misty is responsible for serving as the receptionist for the front desk. She answers incoming calls for DAC and the Federal Grants Division. Misty also updates the Grants Division website, processes the Federal Grants Division travel claims, including conference travel claims, and assists with other administrative duties.

TARA ROBERSON-MOORE, Grant Programs Specialist
As the Programs Specialist for the S.T.O.P. Violence Against Women Act Grant (VAWA), the Sexual Assault Services Program (SASP) Grant, and the Rural Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking Assistance Program, Tara assists subgrantees in implementing approved projects within a framework of relevant state and federal statues, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines, in addition to providing monitoring, consultation and technical assistance to subgrantees.

SANDRA THOMPSON, Coordinated Community Response Specialist
As the Coordinated Community Response Specialist, Sandra facilitates the development of coordinated community response (CCR) teams throughout the state to improve the response to domestic violence at the community level. A CCR Team brings together member of the criminal justice community to increase victim safety and improve offender accountability.
