GRANT TITLE: JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT - LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT (JAG-LLE)

OVERVIEW: The JAG-LLE Program replaces the Local Law Enforcement Block Grant (LLEBG). Through the JAG-LLE Program, funding is made available to units of local law enforcement and tribal governments for the purchase of equipment.

ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible for funding, an applicant must be a: 1)Unit of Local Government (i.e., city, county, town) or 2)Tribal Government and 3) NOT eligible for a direct award from the Bureau of Justice Assistance. 4) Must have submitted UCR data under the applicant agency's ORI number for the most current year according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

BOARD PRIORITIES: The Enforcement Committee of the JAG Board is charged with reviewing grant proposals and determining awards for the grant funds.  The application will specify the priority areas and only applications within these areas will be considered.   In 2008, the JAG Board prioritized funding to only accept applications for equipment. Only applications requesting the following were reviewed:

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION: The 2008 JAG-LLE application period has passed. Depending on federal funding, it is anticipated that grant funds will be available in 2009.
