Employee of the Quarter: Cheryl Cheadle

Shellie Willoughby, Cheryl Cheadle & Mike Thralls
Shellie Willoughby, OCC Awards & Recognition Committee chairwoman (left), and Mike Thralls, OCC executive director (right), present Cheryl Cheadle, Blue Thumb state coordinator, with the Employee of the Quarter Award at the OCC staff meeting on Dec. 4.

Cheryl Cheadle, Blue Thumb Program state coordinator, was named Employee of the Quarter at the Conservation Commission's December staff meeting. Blue Thumb is an education and volunteer monitoring program of OCC's Water Quality division.

The nomination submitted for Cheryl stated "Cheryl is always cheerful and energetic; she has been perfectly described as a firecracker, the kind of person who gets things done. She seemingly, cheerfully accepts the fact that her job requires extended travel, odd hours, and a significant amount of weekend work, and yet is always working to improve her performance and the impact of her program."
