Cost-Share Programs


Locally-Led Cost-Share Program

The Conservation Program Division administers the Conservation Cost-Share Program. Funds are allocated to conservation districts based upon appropriations from the Oklahoma Legislature.The Cost-Share Program provides financial assistance to landowners to apply soil and water conservation practices. The purpose of the program is to help improve water quality and control soil erosion in the state. Conservation districts administer the program to meet their local needs. Priority Watershed Cost-Share Program

The Water Quality division is responsible for the prioritization and management of nonpoint source pollution of the state's waters. The Conservation Commission's Water Quality division chairs the state's Nonpoint Source Working Group that sets Priority Watersheds to participate in a federal/state cost-share program. Federal funding is provided under Section 319 of the Clean Water Act through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
