Payment API

Service Description

The user enters all data in the agency's system (including payment info). The agency's system feeds the payment data (on the back end) to OK.gov to authorize/process. Upon processing, the agency's system completes the online process. Access to the Transaction Payment Engine (TPE) Reporting system and/or a nightly data files to reconcile payments is available.

Customer Benefits

There are 3 different ways in which an agency can work with OI to begin a payment processing system online.

  1. If the partner agency has already developed their web application, they can connect their application to OI Payment Module. This connection is done behind the scenes by processing the credit cards the application accepts from the user and passing the information to OI through a secure connection.
  2. If the partner agency does not have the application developed, OI can work with the agency to utilize OI's development resources and hosting to create the entire application, as well as the methods to communicate collected information back to the agency.
  3. If the partner agency is looking for a universal solution, OI offers a bill pay system, which enables agencies to enter payment type information to collect from users and allows the public to easily pay for services online through a 5-step process. Learn more about OI's universal solution at BillPay.OK.gov.

All communication is done through encrypted protocols, ensuring that the credit card information is secure. Both periodic and real time reporting can be generated and sent by e-mail listing the transaction information and period totals. Custom reporting can be developed if necessary to facilitate the agency's needs, within the limits of the information available for reporting. Once an agency has agreed to work with OI, we have the technical details available to allow developers to create programs that will communicate with the OI's Payment Module.
