Offsite Media Storage

Service Description

The Office of State Finance (OSF) Information Services Division (ISD) provides and supports a secure off-site storage facility in its Data Center for other agencies to store their off-site backup tapes, documentation and other items required for disaster recovery. This facility is secured with card-key access and is monitored by security cameras 24 hours, 7 days per week. For additional fees, a courier service for the pick-up and delivery of media may be established.

Customer Benefits

This service is offered to help protect your backup media against a disaster or other site-specific problems.

Customer Market

This service is available for all Oklahoma state agencies, offices, officers, bureaus, boards, commissions, counsels, units, divisions, bodies, authorities, or institutions of the executive, legislative, or judicial branches of state government. It is also available to counties, municipalities, townships, Tribal governments, and other political subdivisions. 

Customer Responsibilities

  • Customers shall only store data related to official state business and review media data inventory and retention regularly
  • Customers are responsible for providing and maintaining the transportation cases used for backup media
  • Customers are responsible for providing OSF with a list of individuals allowed to remove media from offsite storage location
  • Customers are required to provide agency name and number, contact information for billing and any emergency access phone numbers
  • Customers should identify type of services required based on delivery schedule runs 7:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday

How Do We Charge?

Unit of Charge

  • A monthly flat rate will be established based upon the number of storage lockers required
  • Cost includes rates for mileage/gasoline/maintenance and FTE partial rate if courier service pick-up or deliveries are requested

  • The type of service chosen and how many deliveries are desired
